A concept project exploring how an independent garden centre might compete online against large national retailers. The self-set brief: build a full e-commerce experience that feels warm and local - not clinical - while making it genuinely easy for customers to browse, buy, and collect in-store.
I built a full product catalogue with category filtering, a cart and checkout flow, and a seasonal promotions section to surface time-sensitive stock. The design leans into earthy tones and natural textures to reinforce the brand's identity, while keeping the UI clean enough that the product photography does the heavy lifting. Built on Next.js with a focus on performance and accessibility.
The concept shows how a bricks-and-mortar garden centre could build a credible e-commerce presence without losing its local character. The architecture is built to scale - adding real inventory, payment processing, and order management would slot in without a redesign.
